“Hackathon Sessions: Demystify Git”

Led by Charlotte Møller, an experienced data engineer, this session was all about making Git approachable and practical through real-world exercises.
The attendees learnt about Git Basics & Whats under the hood, gained more confidence working with the command line and practical skills for collaborative workflows. On top of that there were coffee, networking and a great vibe!

In September, we turned our attention to the power of data visualization, exploring how to transform raw data into compelling visual stories through best practices, innovative techniques, and real-world applications.
Johanna Öjeling opened the evening with “Effective Data Communication Through Dashboards”, highlighting the foundations of how to present data clearly and meaningfully.
Michaela Czerwenka followed with “From Numbers to Narratives: How Data Storytelling Drives Business Impact”, showing how narrative can transform numbers into insights that resonate.
Juliana Jackson closed the session with “Tying Up the Business-Side of Things Into Data Storytelling”, emphasizing that the real power of analytics lies in making data actionable and directly connected to business goals.
By pure coincidence (or maybe luck), the talks flowed together into perfect storytelling in itself. We ended the evening with networking, leaving participants inspired to bring stronger storytelling into their own data work.

On May 22nd we gathered at Pandora’s stunning venue for an inspiring evening exploring real-world applications of Machine Learning.
Tamanna Saini shared insights from her talk “E-Commerce Forecasting: From ARIMA to Facebook Prophet”, showing how forecasting is being used to enhance demand planning, optimize inventory allocation, and deliver better customer experiences.
Almut Bohnhoff presented “Charter a Greener Course – AI-Powered Shipping”, demonstrating how high-frequency sensor data and advanced analytics are driving fuel efficiency and reducing emissions in maritime operations.
The event offered both technical insights and practical examples, sparking great discussions among attendees. We ended the evening with networking and connecting professionals across data, analytics, and technology fields in the Nordics.

Our first event of 2025 brought together professionals to explore career growth and the unique challenges women face in data and analytics. The evening served as a platform to connect, inspire, and empower those building their careers in tech.
Nicola Strand shared strategies for navigating imposter syndrome in her talk “Navigating Imposter Syndrome”, showing how we can shift our inner critic into an inner coach and reframe self-doubt into opportunities for growth.
Astrid Illum spoke on career transitions in her talk “Growth, Transitions and Lessons in Tech”, reminding us that growth is rarely linear, and that it’s okay to change paths, make mistakes, and embrace new opportunities.
Maya Retzlaff discussed “Building a Secure Future: Women in Tech”, emphasizing the importance of continuous learning, taking initiative, and leading by example to create space for women in the industry.
The evening wrapped up with networking and shared reflections, leaving attendees with fresh perspectives and renewed energy for their own journeys.
